Thoughts on "Super Tuesday 2"

The polls indicate Obama and Hillary are in a virtual tie in Texas and that Hillary is slightly ahead of Obama in Ohio.

Many have begun to write Hillary's political obituary. Some have even urged her to quit the race now to avoid further embarrassment, particularly after 11 consecutive defeats. Still others hope Hillary wins both Texas and Ohio, so as to force a brokered convention and the public political brouhaha that would surely ensue.

I have learned not to underestimate the Clintons when it comes to elections, however. They are at their evil best when cornered. Their rabid quest for power and their willingness to do go to any depths to get it are in full display this primary season.

Bill Clinton's performance on the campaign trail has been both disturbing and revealing. The racial overtones and insinuations that have come out of his mouth say volumes about their real attitudes and feelings about Black people. The message is clear: As long as African-Americans are supportive of and subservient to the Clintons' ambitions, they are a welcome asset. The moment any African-American wanders off the Clinton plantation, however, he is vilified in the most divisive and bigoted terms. Note how the Clinton camp has attempted to demolish the Obama mystique over the last few months.

From disseminating pictures of the junior senator from Illinois in African garb (shades of Willie Horton) last week to intimating that America would not be safe if the phone rang in the White House at 3:00 a.m., Hillary and her minions have thrown everything they have and more at Obama. Her most recent and perhaps most shameless attempt to smear Obama took place on last Sunday's "60 Minutes" when she said that "as far as she knows," her opponent is not a Muslim.

Incidentally, if the phone ever rings at 3:00 a.m. in a Hillary White House, Hillary would not be the one answering it. That' about the time Bill usually sneaks into the house, so he, not she, would be most likely the first one to answer the call.

Having said that, I don't care when Hillary loses whether it's in the primaries or the general election. I think it's high time we bury the Clinton mess. Forever.

As for Obama, he is all sizzle and no steak, all hat and no cattle and he blows a lot of smoke but there is no fire. Analyze his fiery speeches, dig into his charming rhetoric, research his utopian ideas and you will come up with nothing.

Obama is a liberal. There is very little difference between his and Hillary's leftist policies. He is just packaged differently. Hillary's only disadvantage in the primaries is that she lacks his charisma.
