Man up, Sally!

“So nobody really thinks that Bush or McCain have a real answer for the challenges we face, so what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he’s not patriotic enough. He’s got a funny name. You know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He’s risky. That’s essentially the argument they’re making.”

ORLANDO, Fla. — Senator John McCain's campaign accused Senator Barack Obama on Thursday of playing “the race card,” citing his remarks that Republicans would try to scare voters by pointing out that he “doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”

The exchange injected racial politics front and center into the general election campaign for the first time, after it became a subtext in the primary between Mr. Obama and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It came as the McCain campaign was intensifying its attacks, trying to throw its Democratic opponent off course before the conventions.

“Barack Obama has played the race card, and he played it from the bottom of the deck,” Mr. McCain’s campaign manager, Rick Davis, charged in a statement with which Mr. McCain later said he agreed. “It’s divisive, negative, shameful and wrong.”

In leveling the charge, Mr. Davis was referring to comments that Mr. Obama made Wednesday in Missouri when he reacted to the increasingly negative tone and negative advertisements from the McCain campaign, including one that likens Mr. Obama’s celebrity status to that of Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

Somebody needs to tell the Obamessiah that it's the general election. This one is for all the marbles. Whining about an opponents political ads is poor form.

The Obamafraud and his acolytes need to man up and quit playing the race card. The 'Fraud is not being criticized because of his race. He is under the microscope because he is a presidential candidate. His every word and action will be scrutinized and given meaning across the ideological spectrum. I am sure the Obamessiah would love to receive only positive news coverage, as if he didn't get enough from the sycophantic MSM, but he can't and shouldn't be able to control how he is perceived or portrayed.

When cornered, the 'Fraud will shamelessly play the race card. That's the laziest and most cowardly way to respond to criticism, substantive or not.

The problem with the Obamessiah is not that he does not wear a flag lapel pin, eats arugula, smokes behind Michelle's back or is a poor bowler.

I am more concerned about his twenty-year association with his racist and anti-Semite pastor/father figure, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

It troubles me that the liberal Democratic presidential nominee in waiting has had a long term relationship with unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers.

It repulses me to see a candidate for President of the United States of America badmouthing the country to the thundering applause of foreign audiences.

I want a President who loves America for who she is, not someone who will spit in her face to save his.
